If your a crime/thriller lover you must get your hands on this book. This page turner has the readers captivated in the story of Rena and her pursuit to finding out what happened on one of the worst days of her life. ( I read this book until past midnight. literally!! ) All T's are tied from start to finish. Experience leaving this world to someone else nightmare and embark on a journey of self closure.

As a psychology major in University, I've always been fascinated by true-crime, so by extension, my preferred fiction reads are thrillers and mysteries. This book did not disappoint. It's a quick read because the pages keep turning to find out what happened next. It's intriguing, exciting, and exactly what I look for in an entertaining read.
This book is really good! It has a great story with well developed characters. It left me wanting to know more and read more about these characters. I can tell that the writer had a good handle on this world. I wish it would have been longer!
What a great book! The characters are captivating and well developed. You become one with the main character Rena and look at not only your friendships, relationships but morals as well - what would I do if put in Rena’s situation. This book examines a scary reality of crime that happens in today’s society. Looking forward to reading future books by Perron.

For twenty-seven-year-old Rena, life as a journalist is awfully busy but promising nonetheless. She loves her simple apartment, her time with her best friend, and the challenge of her job. But when she becomes the victim of a random hit-and-run, her life turns upside down. With a long road to physical recovery, Rena finds herself becoming obsessed with a stranger, whom she believes to be involved in her accident.
Unraveling answers lead the increasingly unsettled Rena into the dangerous underworld of a ruthless mafia boss. She must decide whether the right thing is always the best thing.
Perron plunges readers into a layered world of underworld and secrets as Rena, in her pursuit of justice, finds herself examining the thin boundaries between right and wrong and what it means to be humane. One of the best I've read. Obsessed!! Usually these kinds of books aren’t my thing but I was HOOKED shortly into it. So excited for the next one in the series!!
I have completed this book in two nights. I did not want to stop reading. I loved Nora's bravery and how every chapter ended in epic suspense. I will definitely be reading the sequel (or sequels if we are fortunate to have more than one). I was intrigued and impressed!! If you like mystery and paranormal activity with an easy yet intense plot to follow, this is the book for you. Thank you Celine for blessing us with this novel.

The way the author puts so much emphasis on details and descriptions truly paints a picture and makes you feel as though you’re in the scene itself. If you love anything paranormal or thrilling, this book is for you! I can’t wait to read more from this series!

Perron's first book in her YA [series] has you sucked in from the get go. Nora is not a stereotypical teen, and I really enjoyed her character. The writing is fantastic, keeping you intrigued through the entire story and wanting to know what happens next. Thankfully, book 2 is out, so now I can find out!
Normally, this type of book isn’t in my go to but Oh My Gosh! Celine has a way of writing that captivates you. Her stories make you feel like you’re in them - watching everything unfold around you. This book is a solid 10!! I can’t wait to read the sequel!
