Will your books be available in Audiobook format?
Absolutely! THE NEXT RIGHT THING and The Caged Curse audiobook is now available on Audible and iTunes. The rest of The Caged Curse series will soon follow!
Where do you get your inspiration from?
Excellent question! The short answer is that I get inspired by everything around me. The long answer to that, is that anything from another book, a movie, a song, or mostly just my wild imagination is enough to spark a new idea and run with it. One I can feel the idea forming in my mind and I can lay it all out on paper I know I have the beginnings of something, but it is only when I truly find myself falling in love with the idea, where I can't think of anything else, that I know I am onto something great. I always tell others that when it comes to an idea for a book, make sure it is something that you want to read - because believe me, you will be reading it over and over again! - so make sure it's something you truly enjoy.
How do you deal with not being worried about what others will think about your writing?
The most important thing to always remember, is that you can't please everyone. Writing books is like art, and art is known to be subjective. There will be people out there who may not like the story or how you presented it. But, just because someone out in the world doesn't like your book, doesn't mean that you aren't a good writer and that you didn't achieve something great that you should be proud of. Writing, for me, is something that I do for myself. It's a passion of mine that I never thought I would ever be able to live out until I was later on in my life and retired, writing being something I would do to pass the time. It was only when the pandemic hit that I realized that I shouldn't put off something I've always wanted to do. Luckily enough for me I already had a that I had been storing in the back of my mind for over a decade by then (THE NEXT RIGHT THING). The best advice I can give, is that if you want to be a writer - an author - and you have a story in mind, one that you can't forget about, one that if it was already a book you would be one of the first to buy it, then you already have something great in your hands.
